Ramblin’ Davey

Ramblin’ Davey (David Kulund) is a children’s musician who sings and plays guitar, harmonica, and kazoo. He and his puppet horse sidekick Wallace sing about friendship and imagination and encourage kids to move and sing along.

Davey was a member of the acclaimed Dream Jam Band that played for thousands of children at music festivals like the Union Square Summer in the Park Series in NYC, and at the Westport Pavilion in Connecticut. They also performed at elementary schools and shopping malls, and partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for shows at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. Davey played fun venues like the New York Aquarium as a duo with Universal recording artist Barry G. Their video Huh Uh was a big favorite on MyKazoo TV.

Returning to his hometown of Charlottesville, Ramblin’ Davey has donned his cowboy hat and pulled on his boots for shows at First Night Virginia, the Virginia Discovery Museum, Staunton Nites Festival, McGuffey Art Center, Greenbrier, Stony Point and Greer Elementary schools, and the Westminster Child Care Center. He is often joined on stage by “Farmer Frank” Bechter on bass guitar, and multi-instrumentalist Matty “Popcorn Slim” Metcalfe.

RAMBLIN’ DAVEY TESTIMONIALS

We had a great time yesterday with Ramblin’ Davey, Electric Frank and Wallace the Talking Horse! Lots of ice cream was consumed, fun songs, were sung, and three special “ramblin’” guest stars provided “cool pool party” dancing. Yippee-ki-yay and come back soon, Ramblin’ Davey!

“We had a blast singing, dancing, and rambin’ with Ramblin’ Davey and the Cuckoo Coconuts! Wallace the Horse made a cameo appearance and our young vistors had a chance to jam with the band with some shakers and noise-makers of their own during “The Wheels On The Bus”. The grown-ups had a chance to get involved, as well, as the band took a special request for “Hey Jude” at the end of the show!”

“We LOVED having Ramblin’ Davey visit  and getting to party down with him, Wallace, and the band! The kids loved getting to interact with him and become a part of the music, and it was a great way to start our day. Ramblin’ Davey and Wallace inspired a puppet show later that day. Thank you so much for jamming with us!”

“Ramblin’ Davey was a big hit with our Out Of School Time Program’s 5-8 year olds. They sang and danced with great enthusiasm and learned about Mozart and creativity without even knowing it!! Great fun in a good old fashioned way! I’ll be in touch for some more gigs soon!”

To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing this testimonial to give the highest praise to David Kulund. I am the founding partner of Dream Jam Productions, a family entertainment and educationals development company in New York. David’s brother, Nicky Kulund was the drummer of our children’s band, The Dream Jam Band.

When Nicky lost his battle with Leukemia, David stepped in to help us compose songs for a program to inspire children with life threatening illness. Nicky began to imagine ways to reach these children. David wished to fulfill his brother’s dream. What I discovered in David, was a gentleness and loving spirit that struggling children would feel comfortable with. His soulful voice and beautiful melodies became meaningful songs that would instill hope and optimism in children who had little to hang onto.

Before long, David transformed into Ramblin’ Davey, and joined some of our mainstream musical performances. We began to see his wealth of talent, both musical and comical. The children loved him. When he decided to move back to Virginia, I supported his decision to become a solo artist for children.

I highly recommend David Kulund as a children’s artist. His performances would suit schools, libraries and children’s venues.

Please feel free to readh out to me with further questions.

Sincerely
